The BA in Silverthorne is back!

Now open at the Central Bar inside Bluebird Market! The BA is pouring a full bar lineup of cocktails, beer, and wine, Summit County style. Stop in before or after a day on the mountain for apres ski, catch the game on a big screen, or settle in for live music with friends. HISTORY & ABOUT

If you spent any time in Summit County before 2007, you probably remember the glowing "BA" sign on the roof of the Old Dillon Inn. It started out as a "BAR" sign until the R gave out. As the story goes, co-owner Dave "Wabs" Walbert fell off the ladder trying to fix it and decided it was fine the way it was, since where he came from nobody said the R anyway.

The building itself dates back to the late 1800s and rode a flatbed from old Dillon to Silverthorne in 1961 when the town was flooded for the reservoir, and the bartenders were pouring in the new spot that same day. For decades it was the local hangout for live country and bluegrass and pretty much everyone in town.

Now Joyce de la Torre and Michal Ulehla, the team behind the Old Dillon Inn, Bagalis, and Bread+Salt in Frisco, are bringing the BA back to life right here at Bluebird.
